Patsy dew pix

Living in Northfield, MN, most of my images are of this town: its architecture, its gardens, its people, and the two colleges, St. Olaf and Carleton.  The farms and countryside of southeastern Minnesota are also favorite subjects.  My camera is a constant companion, so recent images include scenes from southern California, the coast of Maine and Oregon.

The world is incredibly rich visually.  All things are in some way beautiful, interesting, or humorous.  As a photographer I watch for those moments when the light is just right, or the juxtaposition of patterns is fascinating, or the color scheme is irresistible, or I perceive humor in the scene.  The more I look, the more I see, as all things ordinary are in some way extraordinary.

My photographic greeting cards are sold The Hideaway coffee shop.   All images on this website may be purchased as a greeting card or enlargement.  Just click on the “Email Me” button, and let me know what you are interested in.

ART FAIRS - I participate in the Riverwalk Market Fair (Saturdays) the Riverfront Festival, a part of the Defeat of Jesse James Days in Northfield, held on the weekend following Labor Day.   I participate each fall in the South Central Minnesota Studio arTour, usually the third weekend in October.  For more information, check the arTour’s website,
