The Glittering Prairie (closed)
What is a box? Just a container? A shape with four sides, a top and a bottom?
As I began creating photographs that are more abstract than realistic, I discovered ideas for making boxes that aren't so "boxy." I am thinking of them now more as sculptures than simply as containers. Sometimes, their appearance depends on whether they are open or closed.
I continue to play with shape and this year have created some pieces that are not like boxes at all. They are in fact paper sculptures.
Examples of my sculptural boxes are in the Photo Gallery above. If you are interested in purchasing any of these, please use the contact form, and I can supply more information about sizes and prices.

I am excited to announce that one of my “extension” boxes was chosen to be included in the New Editions exhibit in the Main Gallery of the Minnesota Book Arts Center, 1011 S Washington Ave, Minneapolis. This exhibit runs from October 10 - 26. The extension box shown above is the one chosen for this exhibit. Come see it!
